My husband and I just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. As a gift to each other, we opted to get away, just the two of us, for the weekend. We stayed at the Winery Inn where we got married, enjoyed wonderful food and traveled the area. It was a fantastic weekend.
We chatted about getting each other formal gifts, but aside from a card, we decided to go away instead, that we didn't need a gift as well.
But I looked up with the traditional 10 year wedding anniversary gift should be (check out the Hallmark website with all the years) - the old tradition tells me it should be tin or aluminum, but the modern gifting is diamonds. Maybe I should have checked this list before suggesting we don't buy each other anything ;)
Whatever the case, anniversaries are a time of happiness and reflection. So many things have changed in 10 years - as they do each year - and we are grateful with each memory and story we have to share together.
If you are married, how many years are you celebrating this year?
